Info about the project:
“Demarginalising Orature – Translating Minor Forms into the Digital Age” has its origin in a transdisciplinary course funded by the eLFF and taught at HHU Düsseldorf’s Philosophical Faculty (2022/2023) as well as in fieldwork for a Ph.D. project on Konkomba folktales in Ghana carried out by Tasun Tidorchibe.
The course aim is to bring English translations of the recorded folktales in Likpakpaln into a digitally readable format and creating a space in which different medial products could be assembled to give as full and culturally sensitive a picture as possible of the tales’ cultural significance – and to make them visible and accessible to the research community as well as a wider audience.
