Open Educational Resources

Here you can find all the open educational resources (OER) of the project.
These include video tutorials for the work with the software ANNIS and quizzes about (multilingual) digital humanities, the post-monolingual anglophone novel and working with Google Collab and ANNIS.

For the second project, we created multimedia-based, interactive learning modules on ILIAS that students could use for self-paced preparation, follow-up work and self-assessment. The modules provide additional information on the translation of multilingual literatures, drawing on recent approaches in postcolonial studies and multilingual digital humanities. The modules significantly contribute to HHU’s “KI für Alle“ courses from humanities perspectives and can be integrated in other teaching and learning contexts.

We also worked on translations (human, commercial translation tools, chatbots) of multilingual literary texts in order to create a parallel corpus.

Quizzes

These are the four quizzes that were designed for this project. We not only provide the quizzes themselves, but also a version with the answers. You are free to take them and then check your result yourself.

Video tutorials

These are the video tutorials about conversion, annotation, analysis and interpretation of the multilingual findings in our literary corpus. They are hosted by HHU Mediathek and you can find the links to them here.

Learning modules

You can download our multimedia-based, interactive learning modules here and import them on ILIAS for your own teaching and learning contexts.

Parallel Corpus

As part of the second project, students created parallel corpora that may serve to de-bias machine translation and advance the development of multilingual language models.

You can find a link to the parallel corpus, annotations and analysis here:
